Beckham comes to Kansas City

Last fall I did a video blog at the Wizards playoff game vs. the Crew. A few months ago, the Wizards contacted me and asked if I'd like to come to a game or two this summer and do the same thing.

The provided me with a press pass, which gave me access to the field level and press box, for Saturday's game against the L.A. Galaxy (hello, David Beckham).

Jake and I went and had a lot of fun watching the game from different parts of Community America Ballpark.

Full disclosure: the only thing I received from the Wizards was a press pass. I paid for all of my beverages and was even hassled - quite a bit, actually - by security (even though I followed all of the "rules" perfectly).

There were some other local bloggers there for the same purpose (make sure you check out my good buddy Ramsey's stuff). It's good to see a pro sports franchise embracing the power of blogging, even though my experience wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. It's definitely a step in the right direction.

This video is also on YouTube.

Whitney,

Congrats on the press pass, that is pretty cool. Love the change in music with DB and the subtitles.
